Answer: No. Purge Congress 527, if reactivated, will be a registered as a "section 527 political organization" according to the Internal Revenue Code ( IRC ) of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Therefore, it can neither endorse candidates for office nor oppose candidates for office. However, it may raise awareness of issues and provide character information and more regarding elected members in Congress and candidates that seek to become elected to serve in Congress. Perhaps the most effective and most provocative "527" to date was the "SWIFT VETs AND POWs FOR TRUTH" that sought, without mercy, to provide information during the election season of 2004 regarding John Kerry's active duty military aboard swift boats in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. However, a certain member(s) of our family organizations, if said member is a political action committee ( PAC ), can say "vote" or can say "do not vote" for a political candidate.
