Michael Smith
Founder
Age: 60 something
Michael Smith has a keen interest in the history, the policies and the political process of the United States and how such affects business and the general public. He has followed the political process since high school and has recently decided that its time for productive and authentic reform. Mr. Smith is very much aware of the voters' anger directed by millions of Americans at their elected members in Congress. He realizes that elected members refuse to acknowledge voters' anger, while at the same time the elected members promote their self-serving political activities, direction and ideologies that are a threat to American Exceptionalism, the American Dream and the Untied States of America. Therefore, Mr. Smith seeks to enable the venting of the growing anger that millions of Americans have regarding their elected members in Congress by launching Purge Congress.
Mr. Smith has owned, in whole or in part, several businesses. They included three different automobile dealerships, a few retail / wholesale apparel businesses, and more, including a private placement service that assisted small businesses as they sought to raise capital. Many of his businesses, especially his private placement service, were often impacted negatively by the political process, including political activities, direction and ideologies that were a threat to American Exceptionalism. So, while at a very young business age, he began to question the political process.
Mr. Smith continues to actively question why the political process in the halls of Congress enables vicious attacks on American Exceptionalism, the American Dream and the United States of America. Therefore, Mr. Smith has decided that its time for someone to launch a grassroots mission to defend American Exceptionalism. He began to organize such a mission and caused the formation of Purge Congress. Mr. Smith envisioned that the mission to defend American Exceptionalism may and probably will evolve into a nationwide grassroots mission, and subsequently aligned himself with a like-minded reliable Co-Founder. Said Co-Founder no longer serves Purge Congress. Purge Congress is the defender of American Exceptionalism.
Mr. Smith enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve during the Vietnam War. When called to active duty he reported to the U.S. Navy Training Center in San Diego, California. There he enrolled as a dental technician student. Thereafter, as a dental hygienist, he was stationed in San Diego, California on the USS Oklahoma City. Mr. Smith was discharged, honorably, during 1968 from the U.S. Navy.
Prior to Mr. Smith serving on active duty in the U.S. Navy, he attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. While serving on active duty in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Smith enrolled to take college courses offered, on-campus / on-ship, by San Diego State College in San Diego, California and he was also enrolled in college level correspondence courses offered off-campus by the University of Maryland. After serving on active duty in the U.S. Navy, he attended Morris Harvey College in Charleston, West Virginia and thereafter Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition, Mr. Smith has studied several editions of ALI-ABA course study materials regarding United States Securities Law and Securities Transactions. These course study materials were prepared by and then offered by the American Law Institute - American Bar Association (ALI-ABA) Committee on Continuing Professional Education. Mr. Smith anticipates that his continued education will become greatly expanded as he seeks to guide Purge Congress, through its start-up period and then into the future. Mr. Smith resides in Florida.
